Prostitution Stings in Houston
Prostitution Charges are almost always the result of a sting operation by law enforcement. In the past few years, there have been numerous prostitution stings resulting in hundreds of arrests. In February 2017, Houston law enforcement arrested 103 men as part of a nationwide operation. Houston had the most arrests of any city involved in the prostitution sting, in which undercover female officers set up rendezvous with unsuspecting men through online ads.
These giant prostitution stings often become like traps to seduce not only men intending to engage in prostitution, but also those men who are unintentionally seduced by these undercover officers. In these cases, an errand to the grocery store can quickly devolve into an arrest and a lifetime of regret, all because of a momentary lapse in judgment.
