Prostitution Stings in Houston

Prostitution Charges are almost always the result of a sting operation by law enforcement. In the past few years, there have been numerous prostitution stings resulting in hundreds of arrests. In February 2017, Houston law enforcement arrested 103 men as part of a nationwide operation. Definition of Prostitution

Under Section 43.02 of the Texas Penal Code, a person is guilty of prostitution when he/she:

  1. offers or agrees to pay a fee in exchange for sexual conduct, or

  2. agrees to receive a fee in exchange for sexual conduct.

 

The key term is "agreement".
